[00:00:00] Speaker A: We saw the single game scoring record in Emmaus history shattered with a 52.
[00:00:06] Speaker B: 52 burger.
[00:00:07] Speaker A: 52 burger. Juicy burger from your own.
And welcome back, ladies and gentlemen to the official Emmaus Athletic podcast In the nest. I'm your co host, Shane Douglas and we have a special guest with us here today because Matt is just little glossy on the top. So we got a new light and everything and we wanted to test it with some, some good hair, Good hair today. So we got landed in here. Landon Jacobus.
[00:00:38] Speaker B: I don't feel like I'm a special guest at this point.
[00:00:40] Speaker A: Dude, you're super special.
[00:00:41] Speaker B: I'm kind of, I think I'm just a regular at this point.
[00:00:43] Speaker A: You are.
[00:00:44] Speaker B: Honestly, I should just take Coach T's job.
[00:00:46] Speaker A: You should. Hey, you're a senior man. Step aside, step aside. Matt.
[00:00:51] Speaker B: This is my next career.
[00:00:52] Speaker A: Matt. Matt is actually out. He's sick. Family has the flu. Seems to be going around the flu a little bit. So prayers up for Matt. Keep him in your thoughts, send him a nice cute message. Hopefully he's back in tomorrow. But it's great to have you, Landon. I, I, I, I know I normally don't get anybody to like be a co host with the other than that. So I feel, I feel special.
[00:01:15] Speaker B: I got both of you know I had Coach T last time and now you get, you get to.
[00:01:19] Speaker A: Did you sit in this seat last night? Yeah, I did. So there you go.
It's one of these days Matt and I should just switch seats and just see how, see how it feels because we just naturally chose these seats. So I, I'm not, I don't know what it's like to be in that chair.
[00:01:31] Speaker B: It feels a little weird.
[00:01:32] Speaker A: Is it weird?
[00:01:33] Speaker B: I like that you like this one better.
[00:01:34] Speaker A: Oh, okay. Either way, everybody, thank you for making us a part of your day. We appreciate your love and your, your support to all of our listeners, family, friends, alum of the school and thanks for tuning in to hear about Emmaus athletics. And that's what our job is, is to update you on our, not just our record, but our players and what the season is looking like. And right now we are in the middle of basketball for men's and women's hoops. Landon Jacob is here. If you're not familiar with him and his beautiful face. He is a senior basketball player for a men's team and one of the captains with Nash Harper.
[00:02:11] Speaker B: He didn't want to come on the podcast.
[00:02:12] Speaker A: He didn't want to come. I like, I cornered both of them in the lunchroom today and was like, hey, I need you. And Nash said, I'm down, and he just didn't show up. So. Thanks, Nash. Thanks, buddy. But, Landon, how are you doing? You're doing good?
[00:02:28] Speaker B: Doing good.
[00:02:29] Speaker A: Senior year going well?
[00:02:30] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:02:30] Speaker A: Ready? You're excited to be done?
[00:02:32] Speaker B: I mean, I'm ready to keep playing basketball, but, yeah, I'm ready for the finish line to come, so.
[00:02:37] Speaker A: Well, we're gonna be.
We'll hear about kind of your season, your. A little bit of how you're feeling about, you know, know, your senior year, the team, you know, the. The family, the brotherhood. But let's get right into it, and let's talk about our women's basketball team. So we had three games this last weekend for both men's and women's, and for our women's team, we are now 1 and 12. 1 and 12. So they lost all three, sadly. But pretty. Some of them being pretty close. Uh, pretty close. What are some of your, uh, observations on. On the. The women's team from this last weekend? Because you guys travel a lot, right? You guys are relatively close, so.
[00:03:22] Speaker B: Yeah. Well, I think Friday they played Central.
[00:03:25] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:03:26] Speaker B: How much they lose by that one?
[00:03:27] Speaker A: The Central game? The women's team lost.
It was. The women's team lost 69 to 44. It was pretty close in the first two halves, and then Central seemed to run away with it in the last two.
[00:03:41] Speaker B: I mean, they're just hitting shots in that second half towards the end of the stretch, but, I mean, they were keeping it close. They were getting boards. Rachel was killing it on the boards.
[00:03:50] Speaker A: 12. 12 rebounds for Rachel.
[00:03:52] Speaker B: How many points did Aaron have in that game?
[00:03:54] Speaker A: Aaron. Aaron had 12. So really? Aaron. Aaron and Rachel, you know. Yeah, I mean, they put it up to both on. On both ends.
[00:04:00] Speaker B: They were definitely keeping up with them in that first half, and then, yeah, things kind of just fell apart in that second half, but which is.
[00:04:06] Speaker A: Which is like, sadly, a. A. Like a routine for our women's team this year, because they. They played Central, you said, on Friday, lost 69 to 44. And then they played FLBC on Saturday. That was a very close game. 48 to 40. And then just last or the other night, the. Both teams drove out down to Ankeny. I would play Faith in our rivalry game. Our. Our race. Like sister schools, brother schools, sibling schools, whatever you want to call it.
[00:04:37] Speaker B: Something like that.
[00:04:38] Speaker A: And lost rivals. Yeah, lost 82 to 61. And we'll get into the Faith game, but more on the weekend with fobc, which was a Very close game. Very close game. Any. Anything to. To highlight there?
[00:04:50] Speaker B: I mean I. From, from the br. I don't watch most of the games. I watch the first quarter and then till end of the fourth quarter, so. But I mean I saw Maddie put in a couple threes and you know, like they didn't give up. They were still keeping with them right down to the buzzer. So I mean they were sticking with it for the most part. So I was, you know, it seems right there, especially with the Fablec team. They played the first time and I think they lost by 20 and they're a decent team. They're a really solid team. And I mean we were up by. Up at half or we tied at half.
[00:05:23] Speaker A: We were up by a lot at half and then we were outscored. We were outscored.
They scored outscored. How do I say this? They scored 16, we scored eight. So they scored times our points.
[00:05:37] Speaker B: Two times.
[00:05:37] Speaker A: Yeah, two times. That's it. I don't know why I couldn't think that. It's okay, dude.
[00:05:41] Speaker B: I haven't taken math, your ministry major.
[00:05:43] Speaker A: Sure, no math for me. But no, they scored two times our points in the second half. So I mean that's. That, that's where you get it. And you can, you can. We don't have a lot of depth, so there's, there's a lot there on our home games. We do, we do get Jenna, so that's very. That's going to help out a lot.
[00:06:00] Speaker B: I think semester she's done after the Ozark game though.
[00:06:03] Speaker A: Really? So not even for the tournaments.
[00:06:05] Speaker B: Yeah, I know that stinks.
[00:06:08] Speaker A: And for senior year for Jenna sucks. Yeah, Jenna, she is in her senior year in his student teaching, so she's going to be playing a lot of home games, but other than that she has academic requirements, so. Yeah, but I, I'm talking to coach Canard, Cody Canard, and about his team and you know, and not just improvements, but you know, what they've done this season. He's, he's really proud of the, the, the girls. He's really proud of the, the, the young women on the team and how they're able to come together and it's just a natural community, a natural culture that he said that they have from their friendships in the classroom, on the dorm floors, on the team and. But what stinks is some inexperienced shows. They get a little bit of fluster come the second half and a lot of it has to do with just not having a big bench.
[00:07:01] Speaker B: Yeah, well, I mean, I'm Pretty sure almost all five of our starters are probably top of the nation in minutes played.
[00:07:07] Speaker A: Oh 100%.
[00:07:08] Speaker B: Like I mean they're playing 40 minutes every single game. So it's definitely going to be starting to wear wearing them a little bit. But like even through that you could still see the competitiveness. You can still see the fight in it to stick. Stick around in games against like teams like FOBC and Faith and stuff like that. So to even see that like I don't think I can go out right now and just play 40 minutes full out effort. Like they're like really tough. Like they're.
[00:07:37] Speaker A: I think I could probably. Maybe.
[00:07:39] Speaker B: Maybe.
[00:07:39] Speaker A: No on a good day. It's not a good day today.
[00:07:42] Speaker B: I don't think Will tomorrow probably is laughing over there.
[00:07:45] Speaker A: Well, it's not laughing. He's like chuckling. He normally does that. Don't include Will in this either way though. Tuesday.
Moving on to the Tuesday game for the. The women's basketball team.
Playing Faith, man, it's great. It's nice playing face. It's even better when we win. But losing is really tough. I know losing is really tough to face and not as bad as some other teams but you know they're like our siblings so we want to beat them but we Lost A. Faith 82 to 61. Made A. Made a comeback in the middle of the game, close in it to five.
But then Faith, Faith ended up running away with it towards the end so. But it was fun because we, you guys got to see coach Sharon Tomlinson, the coach of the Emea Seagulls last year, now assistant coach to the Faith Eagles this year. And, and I don't know if I even should mention this but I mean they, they brought her out on the, the head coach.
[00:08:45] Speaker B: Yeah. To shake hands.
[00:08:46] Speaker A: Shake hands. Which is like so funny and I love it. And you know coach Sharon loves, loves Emmaus, still loves it here but you know she, she felt Emmaus was or Faith was a place for her right now. So that's great. Good for good for Sharon. And they got the win. So Sharon can add that to her resumes, you know, beating Ms. So there you go, Sharon. Are you happy now? You happy now? We will not be watching your cats ever again. If you ask for cat sitters, we would always cat sit for Sharon when she would leave town. But not anymore. Not because just because she beat us, she could have lost that game for us.
She should have. She should have. She should have. That's it. That's all I have to say. But A lot of. There is a lot of hope and there's a lot of growth going on with the women's team, and I'm excited to see them moving forward. And what.
[00:09:39] Speaker B: Still a lot of season left.
[00:09:40] Speaker A: Still a lot of season left. And what I've.
[00:09:42] Speaker B: You know, what matters, Shane? It's not the middle of the season.
[00:09:44] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:09:45] Speaker B: It's how you end the season.
[00:09:46] Speaker A: Hey, there.
[00:09:46] Speaker B: That's what matters.
[00:09:47] Speaker A: That's what matters. Quote him. Quote him right here. Okay, Andy. Andy Fessler, you watching? I gave you a bunch of notebooks right down right now. It's not about the middle of the season. It's about the end of the season.
A common. A common theme, or not even a common theme, but something that I think if our women's team really works on, it will change the. The.
The end result of every game. And of course, you can say this about every team, but it's. It's. It is something that stands out, and that's turnovers. Turnovers. They had 40 turnovers against Faith the other night. 40 turnovers is so much. I'm not. There's no. It's 40.
[00:10:27] Speaker B: I mean, Faith was full court press and left and right, so I.
[00:10:30] Speaker A: It's fair. That's fair.
[00:10:31] Speaker B: It's tough.
[00:10:32] Speaker A: It's fair.
But they had, you know, a, you know, still a lot against the other. Other teams. I'm not going. I'm not like, pushing blame on anybody or anything, but you've cleaned up the turnovers. And Coach Canard would say he agrees with this, is that they're a dangerous team. I don't know. I think we said this on a podcast last week or one of the weeks is you. I don't. If you're one of the teams in our conference, you don't want to play our. Our girls team, our women's team at the end of the season, because they are in it. They're in it every. Every game. They're in at least the first half. If they can make those corrections for the second half, Landon, they're going to be a dangerous team, and they're going to be a Cinderella team. They're. They may not win everything, but they're going to take away the championship from you. Yeah.
[00:11:19] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:11:21] Speaker A: I won't be surprised. I wouldn't be surprised if they did that.
[00:11:23] Speaker B: I wouldn't either. Especially when you got Rachel averaging a trip or a double double. Like, you got Maddie who can shoot outside, you got Aaron that can facilitate and honestly hit any shot inside of 15ft.
[00:11:36] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:11:37] Speaker B: Like you got a Dangerous offense right there.
[00:11:39] Speaker A: And they just added freshman Sydney Mulgrew from East Dubuque. She was actually. She was. She's an athlete, but she was actually a. Her main sport in high school was archery. Katniss Everdeen is on the court.
[00:11:53] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:11:54] Speaker A: And when she starts warming up and playing with the team a little bit more.
[00:11:59] Speaker B: She was locking down on defense last night too.
[00:12:01] Speaker A: See, there we go. Maybe she won't just be Katniss Everdeen with. With an arrow, but with a ball in the basket.
[00:12:07] Speaker B: And she got N1.
[00:12:08] Speaker A: Hey, there we go. She flexed.
[00:12:12] Speaker B: I don't think. I think they were down a little bit.
[00:12:14] Speaker A: Maybe they didn't do that, but they should have. Maybe. I don't know. I would love to clip it. Clip it. Chat. But.
But so I'm excited to see the women's team, especially towards the end of the season when we go get into a tournament play. And we won't go into that right now, but right now it's not looking too. Too sharp for our conference record. And I don't know how conference works this year for women's basketball. We'll get into that.
They might be playing games for the tournament. So I think.
[00:12:49] Speaker B: I think all seven teams have a woman's team this year.
[00:12:52] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:12:53] Speaker B: I.
[00:12:54] Speaker A: Because I know volleyball. Volleyball and soccer had some new rules that they added this year or last year. So I'm. I'm curious on if basketball did the same. That's something that we can check into and get back to you when we. Of course, when we get closer to conference play, we'll let you know more. That won't be until. When's that? End of February.
[00:13:10] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:13:11] Speaker A: So end of February, beginning of March, we'll. We'll update you on the rules of conference. But know that our women's team continue to support them. Keep. Stay updated, follow them on Instagram and other social media, give them your support. Their. Give them some love and honestly, watch out. They're a dangerous team to watch, people.
[00:13:29] Speaker B: Against Calvary.
[00:13:30] Speaker A: Friday night against Calvary. That's right.
Do we got one game this weekend? No, just Friday. Friday against Calvary. That's gonna be a good matchup. Calvary is always. They're always seem to be in everything like.
[00:13:42] Speaker B: Yeah, well, they're really solid this year too. Women's team.
[00:13:45] Speaker A: And we already played them this year. Correct. Okay, so that's the thing. People are going to be sleeping on our women's team and then they're gonna bite you. They're gonna buy you. I'm calling it right now. We already said this. They're gonna. We're gonna clip it. Shane's bold prediction two months from now, like when we end up going to the championship game at National. I'm joking, but who knows? I. They're dangerous. You want to watch out for them. I'm repeating myself, but.
So keep updated with the women's team and show them your love.
But this Friday. Friday at 5. Impala 7.
[00:14:21] Speaker B: Oh, well. Woman's 5. Men's 7.
[00:14:24] Speaker A: Yeah, we're not talking about the men's. Dude.
[00:14:26] Speaker B: Sorry. My fault, my fault.
[00:14:27] Speaker A: Women. The women's team.
[00:14:29] Speaker B: My bad.
[00:14:29] Speaker A: Women's team, five. Are we home?
[00:14:32] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:14:32] Speaker A: Yes. Home against Calvary. Am I here? I'm gonna be honest. I've watched the games online, guys. I have. I watch the live streams. I have not been able to come in person once.
[00:14:42] Speaker B: Fake.
[00:14:43] Speaker A: I am thinking, I'll take it. I'll take the heat. I'll take the criticism. Everyone's like, why the heck. How can you say. How is Shane on the podcast if he hasn't watched a game yet? I've seen the live streams, okay? If I missed it, I watch it back. It counts. It counts.
[00:14:58] Speaker B: And you at home watching it.
[00:15:00] Speaker A: No, no, no. Wait. What do you mean?
[00:15:05] Speaker B: Were you watching it live at home instead of going to the gym?
[00:15:10] Speaker A: Why would I not go to the gym? Right. This last weekend, home game. FLBC Central. Gone. Bachelor party. Right.
You know, should I pull up the calendar? Should I pull up the calendar? People, do I really need to do this?
I'm doing this.
[00:15:25] Speaker B: Where were you all last semester?
[00:15:26] Speaker A: Let's do this. All right. I already explained myself. The last week, the beginning of the week, we were away first games of the season at Ozark and Calvary. Obviously. I'm not driving 20 million hours for that. Okay? Not here. Home games only. Kyper. 14 December.
Christmas party. Family.
[00:15:46] Speaker B: Family Christmas. Yeah, yeah, that's a. That's a great excuse right there.
[00:15:50] Speaker A: Family Christmas party. Demoral. Des Moines, Iowa. Had to go home. Okay. Took the wife, went to home Christmas party. I got a pickleball net. That was my gift. We did Secret Santa. Rosie. My uncle got Rosie a pair of shoes. She did not like them, but he also got her a gift card she loved.
I gave my dad a gnome. He's in the gnomes.
Don't know. Ask him.
Other. They're at games at. At. At. Not a lot of home.
[00:16:20] Speaker B: What about the first weekend?
[00:16:22] Speaker A: When's that? Well, the first weekend, it's virgin.
[00:16:24] Speaker B: It's Virgin. Trinity.
[00:16:25] Speaker A: Oh, wait, where's that one?
[00:16:28] Speaker B: Was that weekend 7th.
[00:16:30] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah.
AIG answers in Genesis. The ark.
[00:16:36] Speaker B: Oh, my God.
[00:16:37] Speaker A: Serving the Lord out there. Okay.
Looking at his creation.
Busy. Okay. Gone.
November 23rd. We're home against Oak Hills. No, we're not. That was at fobc. That's everything. We're barely home.
[00:16:54] Speaker B: So will you be here this Friday then?
Oh, no, he's not going to be here.
[00:16:59] Speaker A: I'm here.
[00:17:01] Speaker B: Wow.
[00:17:02] Speaker A: I actually have. Well, there is an issue, though. I do have a.
I have a rehearsal dinner for a wedding I'm in Saturday, but I might skip it. I might skip it. Or at least leave early. I could leave early. I could leave early.
I'm not gonna deny the. The free meal, but I could leave early. So keep Shane accountable for that, everybody. And I will hopefully get to. If I'm. And if I don't come this weekend, we're home next weekend, too. No, we're not. Yeah, we are. We're home Monday. Yeah, Tuesday.
[00:17:33] Speaker B: Monday.
[00:17:34] Speaker A: So our women's team will be playing Mount Mary Tuesday as well. So Calvary this Friday, Mount Mary Tuesday for our women's team. So keep an eye out for that and also keep Shane accountable. Comment Shane in the comments. Be like, shane, you stink for not going to the games. Where's the support? Get him off the podcast.
[00:17:53] Speaker B: Have like a. I want to hear it. Shane. Tally, like, right here.
[00:17:56] Speaker A: What games has Shane gone to? Is Shane wearing a Maya shirt?
[00:18:00] Speaker B: Is Shane cheering for the right team, Miss?
[00:18:03] Speaker A: Sure.
[00:18:03] Speaker B: Wow, he's wearing. Amazing. Look at that, too.
[00:18:05] Speaker A: You like that? Matt, what up? It's a little cold. Okay, everyone's. There it is. Everybody. The quarter zips are in. Everybody. Okay, this is. Nobody wants to hear this.
[00:18:15] Speaker B: This is not really a quarter zip. This is a hoodie.
[00:18:17] Speaker A: Quarter zip, hoodie. Nobody wants to hear this. We're moving on. We're so sorry, everybody. Okay, we'll make sure to, like, make that segment be, like, not important, but funny. So people know to skip over it if they want your fault to skip over it. Unless you're driving the shower, whatever you're doing, whatever your routine is when you listen to us. We apologize for wasting your time. Back to basketball.
Women's team. Look forward to them being dangerous in the. At the end of the season. Dangerous is a word I've said multiple times.
[00:18:46] Speaker B: Looks forward to actually watching it live.
[00:18:50] Speaker A: I do. I do. I really do.
Okay, men's team. And this is your bread and butter because you're. You're on the men's team.
Men's team. Our record is 9 and 7. Good record. Good record.
[00:19:08] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:19:08] Speaker A: Are you happy with that?
[00:19:10] Speaker B: Well, I mean, we've. We've already matched our win total from two seasons ago.
[00:19:16] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:19:16] Speaker B: And already passed from last year.
[00:19:18] Speaker A: See, there it is. Good record. I'm all for it. I'm happy.
[00:19:22] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:19:23] Speaker A: I feel like you guys, if I think the biggest thing and we won't get into this too. Too much right now, more towards the end of the season is retainment. You were. I mean, obviously you're graduating. Nash is graduating, so, like replacing you guys. But if we can able to bring back majority of these guys next year. Be awesome.
[00:19:38] Speaker B: Be really awesome. Yeah.
[00:19:39] Speaker A: But we'll have to replace you guys. Are you guys. We can't replace you.
[00:19:43] Speaker B: No, it's okay. I'm pretty replaceable. No, sorry.
[00:19:46] Speaker A: Nash's.
[00:19:49] Speaker B: I think it's the other way around. I think I'm a little bit more replaceable than now.
[00:19:52] Speaker A: We're not talking about Nash. Okay. We're not giving him that.
[00:19:55] Speaker B: He.
[00:19:56] Speaker A: He left us out to drive.
[00:19:58] Speaker B: For real.
[00:19:58] Speaker A: So our men's team had three games this weekend.
We played Central Friday. We place FLBC Saturday, and we played Faith yesterday. Tuesday.
[00:20:14] Speaker B: Yeah, Tuesday.
[00:20:14] Speaker A: Because Thursday, you know, it's weird.
[00:20:16] Speaker B: I. I keep.
[00:20:16] Speaker A: Well, I do the podcast.
[00:20:17] Speaker B: I did that last time, too.
[00:20:18] Speaker A: It's all right. Welcome to the podcast.
[00:20:20] Speaker B: It's on me.
[00:20:22] Speaker A: First game against Central. We walked away with a 95 to 86 win.
Saturday at 85 to 25 win.
Go over that. And then a 103. Is that our first 100 game? No, no. Second.
[00:20:39] Speaker B: Second.
[00:20:39] Speaker A: Second. We won't talk.
[00:20:41] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:20:41] Speaker A: Second.
This is like the really close.
[00:20:46] Speaker B: Close 103 on a top five defense.
[00:20:49] Speaker A: There we go. 103 to 91. 3 to 90 with a win Tuesday against the Faith Baptist Eagles.
And you guys didn't just come home with a win. You didn't just come home with a full belly of Chipotle or Subway or whatever. You guys eat pizza? Pizza.
[00:21:07] Speaker B: That's just what we had last night. Yeah, pizza.
[00:21:10] Speaker A: It's not that healthy. I feel like you guys would want to, like, fuel the.
[00:21:13] Speaker B: It wasn't. But we just had to get something quick because we, like, left faith at like, 9 fair.
[00:21:17] Speaker A: So what time you get back? Midnight past, probably.
[00:21:20] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:21:22] Speaker A: They didn't just come home with a full belly of pizza. Where'd you get the pizza?
[00:21:27] Speaker B: Papa John's.
[00:21:29] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah, Papa John's not just a full belly or entire eyes, but they brought a gift home. They brought a gift home. What'd you Guys, would you. Would you bring us. So you guys went to a souvenir shop? I haven't seen this gift yet, so I'm really excited. Like, I'm thinking of a keychain.
[00:21:44] Speaker B: I hadn't seen it before either. I've never seen it before.
[00:21:47] Speaker A: Nobody here has.
[00:21:48] Speaker B: It's. I mean, like, it's nothing like crazy or anything like that.
[00:21:52] Speaker A: No.
[00:21:52] Speaker B: Like, I don't know. Faith just kind of gave us a gift after winning the game, which is.
[00:21:57] Speaker A: Super nice of them.
[00:21:58] Speaker B: Yeah. Really, really nice of them.
[00:22:00] Speaker A: Thank you. Thank you, guys.
[00:22:01] Speaker B: But, like, they've had it for, like.
[00:22:02] Speaker A: Two years now, and they haven't given it to you? No, but it's, like, ours.
[00:22:06] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:22:06] Speaker A: And they just, like, been holding on to it.
[00:22:08] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:22:08] Speaker A: That's crazy. Have they just, like, forgotten or. Or is this more like it went over their heads or they just really liked it themselves and they didn't want to give it?
[00:22:17] Speaker B: Yeah. I think that's more. They just kind of wanted to keep it for a couple years.
[00:22:20] Speaker A: Yeah, that's fine. That's fine. Hopefully they enjoyed it. What is this gift that they just randomly gave us? Because it was ours and we own it.
[00:22:27] Speaker B: You know, I. I don't even know if it's worth showing.
[00:22:30] Speaker A: Yeah, it might not be. Show anyways. Show it.
Boom, boom, boom.
Look at this. Look at this.
[00:22:40] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:22:41] Speaker A: The Chaplain Cup. Ladies and gentlemen, for the first time ever, the Emmaus Eagles own this baby. Wow, there's some. Where's the tags at?
[00:22:52] Speaker B: Oh, they're right here.
[00:22:53] Speaker A: There's some dog tags on the side for who has owned it. Faith has owned this sucker, this baby, for two years.
We finally got it.
[00:23:01] Speaker B: Feels good.
[00:23:02] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay. Never again, but awesome. We'll leave this sucker right here.
[00:23:09] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:23:10] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:23:10] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:23:11] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[00:23:11] Speaker B: Look at that.
[00:23:11] Speaker A: How's that? That look good?
[00:23:13] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. You guys got the thumbs up.
[00:23:15] Speaker A: Got the thumbs up. The Chaplains Cup. So the National Guard, they sponsored this cup for a tournament or the. The games and the regular season between the Faith Eagles and the MAS Eagles, and. Really cool. I don't know too much of the history. Matt has talked about it before on the podcast, though, and we. We've shared the cup and everything in the past, but it's really cool that we finally had this. Volleyball now has a cup that they pass. Our women's team have it. Our men's team have. Has this cup. They don't have a cup for the women's team, do they? No, they do.
[00:23:47] Speaker B: They have one now.
[00:23:48] Speaker A: Just started this year.
[00:23:49] Speaker B: This year is like the first year.
[00:23:50] Speaker A: Matt announced that last podcast. That's right. So now the women's team has a cup.
[00:23:55] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:23:56] Speaker A: Named after a woman who sponsored it, I believe.
[00:24:01] Speaker B: I don't know.
[00:24:02] Speaker A: You don't know.
[00:24:02] Speaker B: Significant. They explained it at the game and I wasn't listening. Sorry.
[00:24:05] Speaker A: Sorry.
But pretty cool. Yeah, pretty cool. They listen. I tricked them, dude. Last podcast, I said, oh, Faith, you're. You guys are the better Christians. You should totally lose on purpose so that we get the cup.
Blah, blah, blah, blah. Listen to. Listen to the last podcast and listen to what I said. It made sense and it worked. We tricked them. We got the cup and we're. We're happy.
[00:24:34] Speaker B: It's a huge, like, burden off the shoulders.
[00:24:37] Speaker A: Yeah. Is more.
[00:24:38] Speaker B: Because.
[00:24:39] Speaker A: Why is that?
[00:24:40] Speaker B: Well, I mean, because I played in both these games prior and we had like, we had a 20 point lead last year. Blew it.
[00:24:48] Speaker A: Dang.
[00:24:48] Speaker B: Year before that, I think we had like a 10 point lead in the second half. Blew it.
[00:24:52] Speaker A: Dang.
So what about this year?
[00:24:55] Speaker B: Oh, we won.
[00:24:58] Speaker A: Oh, we won.
It's fun that we can joke about it because Faith has obviously won it twice two years in a row, and now we finally got it. So give us our. Give us our. Our flowers. Come on. Yeah, okay. Let us have fun with it.
[00:25:08] Speaker B: It was just always, like, uneasy too, like, whenever. Because we walked in there for conference last year and like, just seeing it sit there, like, right as you walk in, you're like, dang, it just sucks.
[00:25:21] Speaker A: Yeah, I feel that. I feel it.
[00:25:24] Speaker B: Especially after blowing a 20 point lead. That.
[00:25:26] Speaker A: That stinks.
[00:25:27] Speaker B: That's where it really.
[00:25:27] Speaker A: That does stink. Well, we're hoping to get a dog tag. See that?
Yeah. Eventually got our mas logo right there. Face is right here. Their logo's on the back.
We won't show that. Yeah. You know. You know why? Come on. It's. It's the Emmaus Athletic Podcast. Not the Face, but really cool thing that we can share with with Faith. And it's pretty cool. It is pretty fun. Yeah, I like it. It's. It's really fun. Obviously, this doesn't matter. It's kind of cheap. Plastic cheap. But it's cool to have a friendly competition with. Between Faith and us and to pass something like, obviously this means nothing in.
[00:26:07] Speaker B: In the grand scheme of things.
[00:26:09] Speaker A: In the grand scheme of things.
[00:26:09] Speaker B: I'm always gonna look back in 10 years. Yeah.
[00:26:11] Speaker A: Of the season eternally. You know, so it doesn't matter. But it is fun to have this. This rivalry. So, yeah, we got this cup. We have it. We Own it.
[00:26:22] Speaker B: We own it for the next year.
[00:26:23] Speaker A: There we go. So when Faith comes to our court next year, they will play for the Cup.
[00:26:28] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:26:28] Speaker A: But when Faith comes here in a couple of weeks, it's just a game. Is it Tuesday, Monday, Monday again?
[00:26:36] Speaker B: Mondays from now.
[00:26:37] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. So when they come here two Mondays from now. That's right.
They won't play. It's for the cup, so it's just a game. Really cool. We're gonna leave this up here, but let's talk about Central, and we'll get back to Faith and the rest of the. The week for the men's team, and we'll make it a little quick, but Central game on Friday went really well. 95 to 86 victory.
You didn't play much in that game. A lot of it. Because of health. Yeah, a little bit.
[00:27:07] Speaker B: We just need more offense, to be honest with you. But, yeah, I mean, we. Central came out hot at the beginning of the game. They're up at 18 at one point.
[00:27:17] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:27:18] Speaker B: So, yeah. And we got it down to 11 at half, I think. Something like that.
[00:27:24] Speaker A: Yeah. Central was leading into half 44 to 38.
[00:27:28] Speaker B: Yeah. Okay, so is. Yeah.
[00:27:29] Speaker A: And obviously you outscored him in the second half. Yeah.
[00:27:31] Speaker B: Yeah. But no, we just. That was, like, a total, total team win there.
Like, Josh didn't play, but Eli played out of his mind that game.
[00:27:43] Speaker A: Eli had 18 points, 10 rebounds. So he had a double. Double. Right.
[00:27:46] Speaker B: Double. And Nash played out of his mind.
[00:27:48] Speaker A: Like, Eli Mackie, Nash Harper with 14 rebounds, 24 points. So that's two double doubles already right there.
[00:27:56] Speaker B: Yeah. Like, it. Yeah, it was just cool. It was awesome to watch. Like.
[00:27:59] Speaker A: And then, of course, Tatum with 30.
[00:28:01] Speaker B: Yeah. Tatum, 30. Yeah. You know, no biggie, but.
No, it was awesome. Like, just to, like. It definitely sucked to kind of just have to sit there and watch, but also, like, it was awesome to watch and see. Oh, I bet, like, the team just put it together, like. And I told coach this at half, I was like. There was never. Even when we got down by 18, you know how you just kind of have, like, that feeling of, like, you know, that you're gonna make the comeback? Like, that. That was my mindset. The entire game, like, had no doubt in my mind that we're gonna come back and win.
[00:28:34] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[00:28:35] Speaker B: Absolutely. No doubt. And it was just awesome, that confidence.
[00:28:38] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:28:39] Speaker B: And it was awesome to see that. How that confidence just, like, spread.
[00:28:42] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:28:43] Speaker B: And how every single person on that team and on that bench, like, just believed that we were gonna win that game. And I think especially just after this, that past week of, like, we've just been dealing with a lot of injuries, a lot of sickness. Like, we're still dealing with a lot of sickness, but, like, that was a huge win for us after kind of like a really hard week of practice and having people out, having people sick.
[00:29:06] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:29:07] Speaker B: Like, it was just really cool. And it was just like. Like, I've never beaten Central at home.
[00:29:11] Speaker A: Really.
[00:29:12] Speaker B: Never, man. Always played them in the Winterfest game. Never won.
[00:29:15] Speaker A: But.
[00:29:15] Speaker B: But just like, they have those kinds of little things too, of like, being Central at home. Like, those are, like, huge games for us. And coach Parker's been telling us, like, you know, we keep looking forward to, like, we play three games in four days or we have Maranatha coming up or we have Marana or Manhattan or Barclay, like all these other teams. But, you know, I think it sounds super cheesy when he says it, but. But he always talks about how, like, today's your focus. Worry about today. Like, today I think we have, like a shooting practice. Like, focus on your shooting practice today. Tomorrow we're gonna focus on practice, and then when Friday comes around, then we're gonna focus on the game.
[00:29:57] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:29:58] Speaker B: Like, making sure that we're taking it day by day and focusing on the daily things that we can do instead of focusing on what's down the road. Yeah, like that. I think that's been super crucial for us to keep that in mind.
[00:30:10] Speaker A: I. I bet that helps with, like, easing the tension or the struggle. Like you said, confidence. That's something that is a scary thing to have for a whole team to. To come together and have that confidence. It can change the game completely. And we saw that.
[00:30:27] Speaker B: Yeah, 100%.
[00:30:31] Speaker A: But I mean, it really just shows that a lot of people, Everyone got some. Most people who were healthier or playing in this game really added. Added to the. The score and their scoreboard and either if that's true, or to the team and to your production, either essential rebounds or. Or points or assists. So that's really cool to see the. The. The box score really reflect what you said of coming together as a team and having that confidence and just pulling up for a shot.
[00:30:59] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[00:31:00] Speaker A: So which we saw a lot the next day with the FL FOBC game. Subtle foreshadowing. I know that's kind of. I didn't plan that.
Where we saw the record being shattered. A record. It's been a crazy week for the men's basketball team. Bringing home a cup. The single game scoring record in Emmaus history, I believe. Was it 44?
[00:31:26] Speaker B: It's 45.
[00:31:27] Speaker A: 40. 45. Shattered with a 52.
[00:31:30] Speaker B: The 52 burger.
[00:31:31] Speaker A: 52 burger. Juicy burger from your own Jared Dow Legeradao. Shout out to Jared. Shout out to Jared. Man, it was awesome. He had his whole family in attendance. His whole family showed up to watch him play. And what does this guy do? He gets the ball, shoots it.
[00:31:46] Speaker B: And the thing is, he knows ball.
[00:31:48] Speaker A: He knows ball. Okay, Jared, if you know his story well, maybe we'll have him on the podcast sometime. But I do want all you guys to really listen to his story a little bit and he can share it much better than I do, but I can. But he has had a rough journey when it comes to basketball. He is. He has not picked up basketball for almost two years before coming to Emmaus. Before that, he was a recruited athlete to some other schools in our. In our circles and was wanting to go there, but ultimately understood that pride was something that really overtook his. His basketball life or basketball overtook and overshadowed God. And he did not like that. So he really reflected on himself and grew a lot.
And it shows of who his character and who he is today, his maturity of a student and his studies and his. His. His maturity, his spiritual life on the floors, who he is as a teammate. He's a great teammate. I've heard. Awesome guy on the floor, too. Just.
[00:32:41] Speaker B: Let's just say he's a big Tatum fan.
[00:32:43] Speaker A: Yeah, big, big. Oh, yeah, I've heard about that, but that sounds weird. He may. Is it like. Is it like a secret or. No, like the Instagram account fan page.
[00:32:53] Speaker B: No, no, no. Follow. Follow Tatum gorilla fan page.
[00:32:57] Speaker A: Yeah, he made a fan page for. For Taylor, so.
[00:32:59] Speaker B: Or Tatum.
[00:33:00] Speaker A: Tatum. Why'd you say Taylor? Did you say.
[00:33:02] Speaker B: You said Taylor?
[00:33:02] Speaker A: You said Taylor. I just said Taylor because I thought you said Taylor.
[00:33:06] Speaker B: Did I say Tatum or.
[00:33:06] Speaker A: I say he made a fan page for Tatum and it was pretty. It's so, so funny. Either way, though, Jared is. He's a sweet guy, super genuine, and he's had a hard journey of really in his spiritual walk when it comes to basketball and God. But then also injuries. Has had so many injuries when it comes to just his body breaking down his back. I believe it was his knee injury after injury after injury.
And a lot of that was what obviously you can see. And what he would say is the Lord really bringing him back to him. And I love. I love this. And I know Jared still growing as a player, still learning the game. Again, not after not picking up a.
[00:33:48] Speaker B: Basketball Completely relearn how to play. Yeah, it's a completely different player.
[00:33:50] Speaker A: Player. So, like, he hasn't gotten a lot of playing time this year playing against flbc, which is a team that has struggled this year. But to see his journey, to see where the Lord has. Lord has brought him, has had him persevere through a lot of struggles and adversity in life so early in his life, to get to guide him to Emmaus, to see his growth, to love it here, to grow closer to the Lord and more importantly, have his whole family in attendance.
[00:34:14] Speaker B: Yeah, that's cool.
[00:34:15] Speaker A: And for him to break the record, there ain't nobody more deserving. And I don't.
[00:34:20] Speaker B: Well, and I. I think. I think it's cool, too, just to have Colton and Caleb out there, too, playing 40 minutes. But, like, just a testament to those three. Especially, like, we're not the team without those three.
[00:34:33] Speaker A: Like, they.
[00:34:34] Speaker B: They are hard, hard workers.
[00:34:36] Speaker A: Probably the hardest workers on the team. You could.
[00:34:38] Speaker B: You could say, yeah, I. I would put them up there. Like, they just to, like, for Jared, it's always seen how joyful he is just being out there. Like, for Colton and Caleb, like, just seeing their. And their eagerness to get better and to, like, just flat out compete. Like, sometimes they definitely, like, make Nash and Tatum's life in practice miserable. But, like, that's. That's part of the job. When you sign up to. To play that role on that team, they play it to the best.
[00:35:07] Speaker A: You played that role your freshman year.
[00:35:09] Speaker B: I did, yeah.
[00:35:09] Speaker A: And then you became a starter the next year and you started to get more playing time. And even though there's some games that you sit out because of either health or you're like, you know what? I don't fit this game plan. And having the humility to do that, but also the maturity has. Has helped you in your walk out off the court. Right. And that's something that you can. We can see in a lot of the players, you know, but, yeah, I think you're a prime example of people who, you know, just like these three guys who are hard workers learning more, and it's.
[00:35:39] Speaker B: It's a very. It's a very hard job to do.
[00:35:42] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:35:42] Speaker B: Like, and I think they.
[00:35:44] Speaker A: They're.
[00:35:44] Speaker B: Do they do it better than I did? Like, they 100%, like, deserve a lot of credit for our success this season. I love that in way more capacity than anybody could ever think of.
[00:35:56] Speaker A: I love you. You're. You're awesome guy. You're. You're very humble, dude.
Don't Let that go to your, your brain though. Straight to my brain, right. Straight to my head. I'm the most humblest.
[00:36:06] Speaker B: Oh, no.
[00:36:07] Speaker A: Either way though. Yeah. Shout out to, to all those guys, those three guys and everything you said. I love that and I love that they. You notice it, you know, because sometimes.
[00:36:16] Speaker B: It could be hard. Thing is like it's a very unnoticed thing.
[00:36:18] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:36:19] Speaker B: And it's very discouraging at times for sure. And. But like it needs to be noticed because it's part of our success.
[00:36:26] Speaker A: The people behind the scenes, you know, make an institution or a business or something run. They don't get, they don't get the spotlight. They don't ever get a thank you sometimes.
[00:36:35] Speaker B: This is my thank you.
[00:36:36] Speaker A: Yeah. And it's a great thank you.
[00:36:38] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:36:38] Speaker A: Thank you guys. So make sure if you see, if you see Caleb, Colton or Jared, you know, give him a thank you. Give him a thank you.
And, and a lot of the other guys too. But either way though, is a great game. Like he said, Jared 52 burger, juicy little burger right there.
No one more deserving to have that record from Jared for his, his adversity in life and how he's really grown as a, as a believer, as a man and how he's continuing to grow as a basketball player. But then also you got, you can't leave out Colton and, and Caleb who also had pretty good games. Colton having 14.
[00:37:14] Speaker B: Colton was one point off of a quadruple double. Yeah, he had a triple double without points.
[00:37:19] Speaker A: 12 assists, 12 steals, 9 points, 14 rebounds. 14 rebounds. This is funny and this is. I just. Jared has one, had one assist and.
[00:37:29] Speaker B: It was to me, 52 points.
Yeah, it was the one time he threw it.
[00:37:33] Speaker A: So good games for all those guys and way to pull off the victory and pretty much single handedly it was all three of them because. Yeah, either way. And then faith, we talked about faith already a little bit. Really close game, 103 to 90. Great game against the Faith Eagles.
But Tatum 40. A 40 little burger. Where's that from? I'm saying it now though.
[00:37:58] Speaker B: 40 burger.
[00:37:59] Speaker A: 40 burger.
[00:38:00] Speaker B: I don't know.
[00:38:00] Speaker A: I like it either way.
[00:38:01] Speaker B: It's cool.
[00:38:02] Speaker A: Tatum leading with 40 points from that game. Collier having 10 rebounds and 17 points as well.
[00:38:09] Speaker B: Collier was ready to go. He was ready to go from the jump. He had 10. Okay.
[00:38:12] Speaker A: I thought he meant like, I'm ready to go get Pete's, Papa John's and get home.
[00:38:16] Speaker B: No, no, no, like he was ready to play.
[00:38:18] Speaker A: I love that because he's a Chiefs fan and The Bills are going to win this weekend.
Sorry, Collier. But no. So he was ready to go from the jump?
[00:38:28] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:38:29] Speaker A: Oh, that's cool. I can just imagine. Just ready.
[00:38:32] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:38:32] Speaker A: Oh, that's fun. I bet that sparked a lot of confidence and energy in the team, too.
[00:38:37] Speaker B: It was huge. Especially right. Right out the jump.
[00:38:40] Speaker A: And that's one of those bigger games too, this season.
[00:38:42] Speaker B: Yeah. 100. Yeah. And like, for, you know, I think Faith was definitely keying in on Nash more. And so Nash, like, I think Nash finished with 17, but like, he didn't get, yeah, 12 or 14 of his points until the second half.
[00:38:56] Speaker A: Dang.
[00:38:57] Speaker B: So just for like, Collier and Josh.
[00:39:00] Speaker A: Yeah, Josh off the bench with 21 points.
[00:39:02] Speaker B: Yeah. Like, for them to fill in the gaps to. To still spark those runs for us is huge. And then.
[00:39:08] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:39:08] Speaker B: And then Nash put together, I think, 14 in the second half, like in the last, like 10 minutes. And so he was just going off too. So. Yeah, it was really cool to see.
[00:39:17] Speaker A: It's cool to see you guys come together like that and then also knowing that you're still. There's a lot of people still dealing with injuries and illnesses, so I can't wait to see you guys come together when you're fully healthy. And so you got. It's always fun beating Faith at Faith of when you get a cup in the process, but never done that either. I know. First time ever, so.
[00:39:35] Speaker B: Well, I've never been faithful Faith either.
[00:39:37] Speaker A: Have you ever beaten Faith?
[00:39:39] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:39:39] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:39:40] Speaker B: Not in the regular season, man.
[00:39:42] Speaker A: Big weekend for Landon.
[00:39:43] Speaker B: Yeah. For real beating teams. I've never beaten certain places.
[00:39:48] Speaker A: Either way. We've. We've talked about faith enough in the men's team, but really cool. Really cool thing that we can participate with Faith in with the Chaplain's cup and the other cups for the women's basketball and women's volleyball. Gotta get a soccer got cuz cups are for soccer, dude. This is soccer. Like, come on.
[00:40:07] Speaker B: I know. Tuck. I was talk. Talking to Tucker about this in the dining hall. He's like, why. Why don't we have one? We need one now.
[00:40:13] Speaker A: You got to get one for soccer. Whatever. We'll probably. Maybe next year. Maybe next year. Either way, though. This weekend we play Calvary at home. 7:00 for men's team and then play next Tuesday against Moody.
[00:40:29] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:40:29] Speaker A: Here. So two home games back to back.
[00:40:31] Speaker B: For the men's and Shane will be in attendance.
[00:40:34] Speaker A: I will be there for Moody. Yeah. I got nothing going on Tuesday, that's for sure.
[00:40:38] Speaker B: Wow.
[00:40:38] Speaker A: That's for sure.
[00:40:39] Speaker B: Yeah, just wait. Something's gonna pop up.
[00:40:41] Speaker A: Probably. You already know. You already know, but. Yeah. So two big games with Calvary. We've talked about it multiple times on this podcast already, and we'll try to make this quick, but it can go anyway. Anyway, anybody? For all of our conference games. So that's. That's always fun. You know, you can lose the Calvary twice in the season, then beat them in the. In the tournament, and that's. That's just how it would go. Or vice versa. So it. The regular season is a great time to see where you. You find. You really just learn about the other teams to know how to play against them in a tournament, because that's where.
[00:41:15] Speaker B: It'S going to really matter, if I'm being honest. Calvary is the team that is just the hardest to prep for because they. They throw the kitchen sink at you. Every.
[00:41:24] Speaker A: That's. That's a crazy statement. I like that.
[00:41:26] Speaker B: Like, it's true, though. Like, that they'll run a, like, five, six different defenses. They'll run complete. They have, like, 20 offensive sets. I feel like they. They'll start following you with 10 minutes left to play and make you shoot free throws.
They'll pull everything in the book. And no matter. No matter how many times I play Calvary, it's always something different every single time.
[00:41:51] Speaker A: We beat them last time, right?
[00:41:52] Speaker B: Yeah, we did.
[00:41:53] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:41:53] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:41:54] Speaker A: Close game.
Ish.
[00:41:56] Speaker B: Kind of. Yeah. They made it come back a little bit, but we put them away late, but. Yeah, but still, like, just.
[00:42:02] Speaker A: They're good game. Good team, though. It's a good team. They're always in it. Everyone thinks that you.
[00:42:06] Speaker B: Yeah. They're just always a solid team that just toughs. Coach B. Likes to call it mud games.
[00:42:13] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:42:13] Speaker B: That. Those kind of like. Like calorie faith. They like to play in the mud.
[00:42:17] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:42:17] Speaker B: And, like, if you play in the mud with them, they're gonna come out on top.
[00:42:22] Speaker A: Oh, 100.
[00:42:22] Speaker B: Like, you can't play in the mud with them.
[00:42:24] Speaker A: I think that is so true.
[00:42:26] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:42:26] Speaker A: Because that's what it's like for the sock. The men's soccer team is with Faith is mud.
[00:42:30] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:42:31] Speaker A: And then now I see it.
[00:42:32] Speaker B: It's like you can't. Like, if you play their game.
[00:42:34] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:42:34] Speaker B: They're gonna win every time.
[00:42:35] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[00:42:35] Speaker B: But if you don't play their game, you're gonna be successful.
[00:42:38] Speaker A: I love it.
[00:42:38] Speaker B: So hard to not get in the mud and play with them.
[00:42:41] Speaker A: I know. It looks fun.
[00:42:42] Speaker B: Yeah.
Because they're diving all over the place. They're they're making hustle plays. They're playing two 1, 2 defenses. They're playing trap full, full court press. Like it looks like a lot of fun and you get up and down and then you realize Calvary is on a 100 run. Next thing you know.
[00:43:01] Speaker A: Yeah. And it honestly can be like that with a lot of the conference teams. But I do like the specifically faith in Calvary is definitely that for us, definitely that 100. So I, I see that. So make sure to come out for those games Friday and Tuesday. If you're in the area, continue to follow us on Instagram and keep updated with Emmaus Athletic sports. We'll probably have some, some more news and things to share, uh, for this coming season, next season as well. So definitely keep an eye out for those updates and news updates. Uh, but, uh, we didn't really get to talk about Landon senior year. Kind of ran out of time. But that's all right. Maybe we'll have him and Nash on the podcast, the captain seniors as well towards the end of the season. So we got to fill that content up. But thank you, Landon for being here, man.
[00:43:49] Speaker B: You're welcome.
[00:43:50] Speaker A: Appreciate it.
[00:43:50] Speaker B: Thanks for having me on now.
[00:43:51] Speaker A: You don't need to listen to it. You know, you can either.
[00:43:53] Speaker B: Like I usually still listen to it a little bit.
[00:43:55] Speaker A: I used to always listen to it and then I just can't. I really can't. So let me know if I, if I'm really bad and then. Because then I'll have to watch it.
[00:44:04] Speaker B: Yeah. Because he doesn't watch himself either way though. He doesn't watch our games.
[00:44:08] Speaker A: Oh, my gosh. Yeah. Hate on shame. I want it either way. Thank you guys so much for making us a part of your day, for sharing the love, subscribing, sharing the videos. We appreciate your time that you put into this as. As we put in a lot of time in either planning or being here as well and sharing you the news. So thank you so much. We appreciate, we love you guys. Continue to support come out to the games, unlike me, and support Landon Jacobus here as well as a lot of the other athletes that we have on our men's and women's teams across our campus here at Emas University. There we go. With that said, guys, we appreciate you. We love you.
We'll see you next week.
Do you know Matt's slogan? Should we try it? No.
[00:44:59] Speaker B: It's a great day to be an Eagle.
[00:45:00] Speaker A: There we go. See you next week, everybody.
